Traveling in your RV is fun, but some aspects of living on the road can be a little more challenging if you’re not used to it. One thing that new RV owners may struggle with is getting enough quality sleep in their campers. Loud noises, uncomfortable beds, and distractions can all make falling and staying asleep difficult. Here are some strategies to employ to make sure you get your shut-eye.

Upgrade Your Mattress

The standard mattress that came with your RV probably isn’t anywhere near as nice as what you have at home. Fortunately, many RV manufacturers make other mattresses for their models that have features like memory foam that can make it much easier to fall asleep. Investing in a new mattress for your RV is a great way to improve your sleep quality.

Try Sleep Accessories

The sounds and lights of a campground can continue late into the night, making it difficult to rest. A good pair of earplugs and a sleep mask can go a long way toward shutting out those distractions so that you can sleep. You can also try spraying some lavender essential oil on your pillow to help you relax.

Get New Bedding

The pillows, sheets, and blankets you’re using in your RV may not be conducive to a good night’s sleep, especially if you’re accustomed to different bedding at home. Investing in a soft down comforter, high thread-count sheets, memory foam pillows, and even a weighted blanket can all contribute to you getting a much better night’s sleep in your RV.
